The question is really, how are fertilizer prices calculated? The seemingly official worldbank.org aggregation of trade data has omitted<\/strong> Trinidad as an exporter of ammonia. Ammonia is the main constituent of nitrogen fertilizers that are responsible for for over 50% of all food production worldwide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is obviously implying price manipulation at the top tier.\\]<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ammonia is produced using natural gas by reacting methane with water. Saudi Arabia recently stopped processing natural gas from oil production in favor of free standing natural gas production fields.<\/a> Saudi Arabia however, does not import or export natural gas. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
